It's been exactly one week since Christine Brown announced she was leaving a depressing and unhealthy relationship.
In the many days since, Sister Wives fans have been wondering how they could have missed all the signs that this long-time cast member was unhappy as the spiritual wife of Kody Brown.
As it now turns out, Christine was apparently telling us all along.
She was just doing so in very subtle fashion.
About a month before Christine moved back to Utah and finally got the heck away from Kody, she teamed up with Janelle Brown to shill for a weight loss product.
She also talked at length on social media about her journey to shed plenty of pounds and present a new figure to the world.
What does any of this have to do with Kody?
A whole lot, as it may turn out.
According to In Touch Weekly, the father of 18 drove Christine out the door by making her feel inferior to Robyn Brown, his youngest wife and his only legal wife.
He did so, allegedly, by focusing far too much on Robyn's body.
“The weight loss started because Kody would make all these comments about Robyn once she started losing baby weight, and it really affected Christine,” this source claims to In Touch.
“Christine felt like he was body-shaming her and felt like she wasn’t good enough for him.”
This very much sounds like something Kody would do, doesn't it?
Kody and Robyn welcomed their youngest child together, Ariella Mae, in January of 2016.
The couple also shares 10-year-old son, Solomon, in addition to Robyn’s three kids from a past relationship, who Kody adopted after he exchanged vows with Christine in 2014.
Christine and Kody, meanwhile, are parents to six kids: Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11.
“In the past two years, Christine started this independent journey of having social media presence and building her own website,” the insider tells this same outlet of how the TLC personality realized she had to forge her own path outside of her immediate family.
Along these lines, many fans are now hoping the cable network gives Christine her very own spinoff in the near future.
"After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave," Christine wrote on Instagram on November 2.
"We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family."
Shortly after this confirmation, rumors of how Robyn played a role in the break-up started to run rampant all around social media.
“It’s no shock. She’s been in the process of leaving him for a while," Us Weekly reported last week, citing Kody remaining almost entirely with Robyn amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The big reason why she split from him is because Kody has been completed devoted to Robyn for the past five or six years.
"That hasn’t changed at all."
No word in that report about any body-shaming from Kody, who has not yet commented on the allegation that he made Christine feel badly about herself.
All he has said is this:
Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her.
Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.
The trial was initially scheduled for June, but Duggar's legal team had it postponed to allow them more time to prepare.
During that time, they've engaged in all manner of pre-trial chicanery in hopes that they might convince the judge to throw Josh's case out of court before the trial even begins.
Thus far, those efforts have been unsuccessful.
Most of this wrangling has centered around motions to dismiss evidence on the grounds that it was illegally obtained or improperly handled.
Last month, the judge dismissed five motions filed by the defense, all of them having to do with requests that evidence be ruled inadmissible.
Following that defeat, Josh's lawyers changed tactics and began trying to limit what aspects of their client's past the prosecution will be permitted to discuss in court.
It seems that the DA's office is planning to focus on two aspects of the 33-year-old's sordid history in hopes of establishing a pattern of deviant behavior.
First, there's the matter of Josh's porn addiction, which he has allegedly admitted to in social media posts and conversations with friends.
And then there's Josh's first set of sex crimes, the ones that were, until his arrest earlier this year, the most appalling scandal in the history of reality television.
Four of the victims were his sisters, and the fifth an unidenfitied family babysitter.
Josh's parents helped him avoid prosecution for these crimes, but if the DA has its way, Josh might finally be held accountable for the horrific actions of his past.
"If introduced, the government anticipates that the evidence will consist of testimony that the defendant was investigated for, admitted to, and received counseling for touching and sexually molesting multiple minor females," reads a filing by the prosecution.
The attorneys argue that cases "show an unusual disposition of the defendant—a sexual or sado-sexual interest in children—that simply does not exist in ordinary people."
"In fact, the prior child molestation offense is similar to the charged conduct in this case in at least one critical way—both offenses involve minor female victims—which only enhances the relevance and probative value of this proffered evidence," the document says.
"Nor is the prior child molestation conduct so old as to render it unfairly prejudicial in the instant case."
Josh's lawyers have now filed a counter-motion in which they argue that Josh's past crimes have nothing to do with the current allegations against him.
In court documents obtained by People magazine, the defense argues that the charges "are more than 18 years old, allegedly occurred at a time when Duggar was a minor, and never led to any charges or convictions."
"The existence of juvenile allegations—which did not lead to charges, much less convictions—does not have any tendency to make it more or less likely that Duggar committed the crimes with which he presently stands accused," the response reads.
"Specifically, an allegation concerning alleged conduct by Duggar as a juvenile sheds no light on whether Duggar knowingly received or possessed alleged child pornography on three days in 2019 as the indictment alleges."
Yes, Josh's lawyers are really claiming that their client's previous sex crimes should not be considered in relation to the current sex crime allegations against him.
It seems impossible that anyone could be so devoid of basic human decency, but we suppose we should expect nothing less from a team assembled by Josh and Jim Bob Duggar.
After all those two are pretty much the living embodiments of all of mankind's very worst impulses.

Kardashians Slammed For 'Tone Deaf' Social Media Posts After Astroworld Tragedy https://ift.tt/3c2IYwt
Social media users sure are up in arms over this one…
Days after eight people died and hundreds more were injured in an apparent crowd surge at rapper Travis Scott‘s Astroworld Festival, it seems Kylie Jenner‘s family is back to their social media status quo… and not everybody’s happy to see it.
In fact, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kourtney Kardashianall took heat from fans and social media users in the last 24 hours after publishing “tone deaf” posts amid the terrible festival tragedy’s aftermath.
For starters, according to TMZ, Kim reportedly earned $1 million in “under a minute” on Tuesday morning with the launch of her new SKIMS underwear line. Hours before, on Monday evening, she’d come out with her own message of mourning regarding the Astroworld Festival tragedy, and defending Travis Scott.
Kim has been quiet about the biz launch on her Instagram and Twitter counts, opting not to post anything as of Tuesday morning other than Monday night’s Astroworld message. Still, miffed internet users shared their displeasure with the timing of the launch, posting comments like:
“now send it all to us who were hurt during [Kylie’s] baby father’s sacrifice”
“How tone deaf is it to keep marketing your product after someone from your family is responsible for causing death & injury to a huge crowd of people?”
Her two sisters opted not to take a break but rather to post through it on Monday and into Tuesday.
Fans called out 37-year-old Khloé on Monday afternoon after she posted a series of photos of herself in a sheer, hip-hugging dress, as you can see (below):
Up in arms over the timing of the thirst trap so soon after the unimaginable tragedy, fans didn’t hold back in the comments section, with some writing these messages to the Revenge Body host (below):
“Completely tone deaf”
“Who cares that people died at your pathetic brother in laws concert this ho has to post another filtered and photo shopped self absorbed selfie”
“Read the room. The first Astroworld victim was buried yesterday”
“Oh you can’t be serious????”
“Vanity above all, I guess”
“people died but okay, seems it’s no problem in the world of Instagram?”
“People are watching you guys. I think we can pause this for a week or so after people died at TS concert”
“How can you even post after the AstroWorld, so UNCARING”
Wow…
Kourtney caught flack for her messaging on Monday, too. After she posted these Poosh-related promotional items to her IG Stories (below), fans went in:

And the reactions were pretty vicious:
“God, maybe take a break from posting your vapid crap for a day, Kourtney? You know, in light of what YOUR FAMILY is connected to?”
“She’s not responsible, duh, but this is tone deaf as f**k”
“Yes, this is disgusting of her”
“Does anyone expect anything more from Kourtney?”
Damn!
What do U make of this controversy, Perezcious readers?
Obviously, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé are not responsible for what happened in Houston on Friday night — and it’s arguably misplaced to blame them for their social media posts days later. We mean, these are planned, sold promotions. Are they obliged to put their businesses on hold after a tragic situation involving another sister’s partner?
And yet it also does seem pretty tone deaf to post cheerily in the wake of this horrific event. Especially as more information on the terrible situation continues to come to light. After all, family is their brand, and this tragedy is directly connected to their family.

Switched BEFORE Birth? IVF Embryo Mixup Results In Two Couples Giving Birth To & Raising Each Other’s Babies!! https://ift.tt/3qo5Ijc
What was supposed to be one of the happiest days of their lives has now turned into a “daily struggle” for two unsuspecting families.
In September 2019, Alexander Cardinale recalls the moment he laid eyes on his newborn daughter for the very first time. Unfortunately, this memory has been burned into his mind because something was very wrong: this child looked nothing like him or his wife Daphna! Alexander told People:
“It was sort of a primal reaction.”
Remembering how confused he felt looking at the baby, the dad continued:
“It was a little jarring, but I shook it off and cut the umbilical cord.”
Well, he had reason to be confused. This was NOT his biological daughter, despite the fact he’d just witnessed her birth.
Three months later, the couple learned why: the fertility clinic they went to for in vitro fertilization (IVF) accidentally mixed up their embryos with another couple! So not only had they given birth to someone else’s child, but another woman had given birth to theirs about a week later. And neither of the families were aware of this for THREE MONTHS!!
After literally swapping babies with the other family in January 2020, the shellshocked momma admitted to People:
“This is something that’s just changed who we are. It’s still a daily struggle and will continue to be.”
Now, the Cardinales are suing the fertility clinic, Los Angeles-based California Center for Reproductive Health, and its owner, Dr.EliranMor, as well as a third party for medical malpractice, negligence and fraud, among other things. Adam Wolf, the parent’s attorney, told the outlet:
“People make mistakes and in most industries those mistakes are fairly harmless. They can be corrected. With fertility clinics, those mistakes can have lifelong consequences. This has fundamentally changed the lives of Daphna and Alexander, as well as their two children.”
Recalling those early days with their baby, Alexander couldn’t shake the feeling that they weren’t this girl’s real parents, explaining:
“If we hadn’t done IVF, I would’ve just chalked [the lack of resemblance] up to genetics. She just looks how she looks. No big deal. But because we’d done IVF, my brain started going to the dark place.”
The momma had a different experience, insisting:
“She looked really different than us. But she felt so familiar to me because I carried her and I birthed her.”
The couple and their then-5-year-old daughter Olivia quickly bonded with the dark-haired child. Daphna expressed:
“It was this moment of sheer bliss when everybody is getting to know each other and falling in love with each other. She just really folded into our lives and into our hearts.”
One month after the birth, the family received a strange phone call from an employee at the fertility clinic asking for a photo of the baby. The dad, who is a musician, revealed:
“It seemed odd. I thought, ‘Do they know something we don’t know?'”
It didn’t help that family and friends started to make comments about the situation too, Daphna recalled people saying:
“She looked like she could actually be a different ethnicity than us because she didn’t really look like us.”
The parents did not disclose the child’s ethnic background to help protect her biological parents’ privacy.
Frustrated by the increasing amount of comments from her husband and friends, the therapist bought a DNA test kit to finally put the controversy to rest. Only, when the results came back, they discovered their then-2-month-old had NO relation to them! Alexander shared:
“We got an email that basically said that she was genetically related to neither of us. That’s when our world started falling apart.”
We cannot imagine how jarring that would be, especially after spending all that time bonding with the little girl. Candidly, the couple told the outlet they were both terrified to lose the little girl they’d raised as their own and afraid they might have a biological child who was alive and needed to be found.
They quickly hired an attorney to help and days later, the clinic staff confirmed that the couple’s embryos had been mixed up in the lab. According to the Cardinales, the clinic located their daughter’s biological parents, who had also welcomed a baby girl around the same time.
In December 2019, everyone completed DNA testing to verify the news, which was confirmed on Christmas Eve. The next morning, Alexander and Daphna received a text from their attorney with a photograph of a blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter who had been named Zoë (which they have continued to call her). Alexander mused:
“I found out in that moment that she existed, what she looked like, and what her name was. It’s weird learning the name of your child when you didn’t name her.”
While the other couple has wished to remain anonymous, they were equally “blindsided and devastated,” according to Daphna. That same devastation impacted the couple’s eldest daughter Olivia who didn’t want to see her little sister get sent away and even begged for the switch not to happen.
After weeks of meeting up and trading the babies for brief visits, the families ultimately decided by mid-January that it was time to make the switch permanent. Things had gotten too difficult for everyone. Now that nearly two years have passed since this life-altering ordeal, the families, who live ten minutes away from each other, have forged a strong bond. The father concluded:
“There’s no book for this. There’s no person to give you advice. So we ended up just sort of huddling together, the four of us, and it’s a blessing that we all are on the same page. We’ve spent every holiday together since then. We’ve spent every birthday together since then — and we’ve just kind of blended the families.”
Wow! It’s nice to know they were able to come together after a crazy situation like this and not allow the complicated feelings to tear them apart. Hear more about how this transition has been since welcoming their biological daughter home (below):
Oof, you can just see the pain in their eyes. What a difficult situation to navigate… Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments (below).
